BARYPRENE

TWO LAYER ROBUST WATERPROOFING SYSTEM FOR INSTALLATION DIRECTLY ON TO REINFORCED CONCRETE ROOF DECKS
BARYPRENE 25 SI comprises a specially blended polymer modified bitumen membrane designed for use directly under paving grade mastic asphalt for use as waterproofing on multi storey car parks.

Applications


  • BARYPRENE 25 SI is loose laid with partial bond effected by the heat of the mastic asphalt.
  • Paving Grade MASTIC ASPHALT applied directly to surface of BARYPRENE 25 SI by hand or machine.
  • Suitable for roofs of zero degree slope.
  • Suitable for use on new build or renovation projects.

Performance


  • A minimum 50 year design life expectancy (BS 8747), available with a 20 year GOLDSHIELD guarantee.
  • Partial bond restricts scuffing of asphalt surface.
  • Hard wearing robust system.

Roof deck


  • Reinforced concrete laid in accordance with BS 8217:2005.
  • Axter does not recommend the use of screeds to create falls, preferring instead the use of tapered thermal insulation. If screeds are to be specified then they should be installed in accordance with BS 6229:2003 and be allowed to dry out before laying any reinforced bitumen membrane roofing.

Insulation


  • Apply to Axter for specifications incorporating thermal insulation.
