Workmanship quality is always important but there is no room for failure when installing waterproofing beneath site applied protection such as green roofs, paving slabs, asphalt, etc.

When choosing a contractor it is important to have verified the craft skills and technical competence of the employees, ensured that all relevant insurances are in place, that the company is financially stable, that they comply with all Health and Safety Legislation and install materials in compliance with British and European Standards and Codes of Practice as well as to manufacturer's instructions.

Long term guarantees and warranties available

Axter's reinforced bitumen membranes, stocked by selected specialist roofing merchants, are available to all trade customers. These contractors can offer warranties on their work backed by Axter's material Warranty.

In addition Axter operates two recommended Installer schemes.

Axtershield

Axtershield is a quality mark scheme for roofing contractors whose competence has been approved by Axter and who normally purchase their materials directly from the company. Axtershield Installers have access to all of Axter's high performance reinforced bitumen membranes (EXCEL), structural waterproofing system (WILOTEKT-PLUS) and photovoltaic roof systems (GENERAL SOLAR) as well as full direct support from Axter's Technical Design Team. When installing materials to an Axter specification they are able to offer clients Axter's GOLDSHIELD and PLATINUM long-term comprehensive Guarantees

Axter invites applications from suitably qualified and established roofing contractors to join the Axtershield Installer scheme.

Axter Alliance

Axter Alliance is a quality mark scheme for roofing contractors whose competence has been approved by the company and who purchase their materials through one of Axter's selected roofing merchants. Such contractors undertake to carry out all work where Axter's roofing materials are used in a good and workmanlike manner and in strict accordance with the description in the accepted Tender Documents or subsequently agreed variation to same, BS 8217:2005 (or as amended at the time work is undertaken), Axter's Technical Manuals or other instructions and any other current Codes of Practice. In return they can offer their clients Axter's comprehensive long term warranty: WARRANTY-PLUS.
