Listed below is a general specification using a combination of the specialist, self-adhesive membrane STICKFLEX DALLE with the PARDEK paving system. (Axter can provide written detailed specifications to suit any building on demand).

| Deck | Concrete, laid to achieve a smooth deck finish at 0° pitch. If falls are required then this can be achieved with a sand/cement screed. |
| Primer | Prime deck with Axter's VERNIS ANTAC (see brochure) quick drying primer and allow to dry. |
| Waterproofing | Fully bond, by butt jointing and with staggered layers, two layers of Axter's STICKFLEX DALLE SBS modified waterproofing membrane. Where joints in the two layers cross care must be taken to ensure a watertight seal. This can be effected by using a bituminous mastic or by installing a strip of STICKFLEX ALU over the joint of the first layer. |
| Details | At the base of all upstands a reinforcement layer of Axter's HYRANGER 35 PY angle strip 250mm girth should be installed centrally in the angle and bonded to both the flat and vertical surface. A layer of Axter's ARMALU should then be fully bonded to the upstand and to the surface of the STICKFLEX DALLE for a min 150mm. Alternatively the STICKFLEX DALLE can be turned up the upstand and any exposed parts, after installation of the paving slabs, can be protected with a strip of STICKFLEX ALU aluminium surfaced membrane. |
| Protection | Install the PARDEK supports and paving slabs in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. |
| Thermal insulation | If thermal insulation is required then STYRODUR XPS extruded polystyrene insulation, of a thickness to suit required 'U'-value, and Axter's FILTER LAYER should be loose laid over the STICKFLEX DALLE prior to the installation of the PARDEK system. |

British Standard Code of Practice BS 8217:2004, Flexible bitumen sheet roofing.
Specifications are given for roof slopes< 5°. Apply to Axter for further information.
