TOPFIX / TOPMETAL

TWO LAYER MECHANICALLY FASTENED SYSTEM WITH THERMAL INSULATION ON PROFILED METAL ROOF DECK
TOPFIX / TOPMETAL is an economic, secure and very fast installation two-layer waterproofing system that allows the building to be waterproofed extremely quickly enabling following trades to start work, in the dry, inside the building without delay. Capping sheet protection can then be applied at a later date. European Technical Approval No.ETA 06/0030 Systems of mechanically fastened flexible roof waterproofing membranes applies.

Applications


  • A tried and tested traditional roofing system using modern mechanically fastened techniques for safe application.
  • Suitable for use as a two layer fully system on timber derivative or metal decks.
  • Suitable for use on new build or renovation projects.

Performance


  • A minimum 50 year design life expectancy (BS 8747), available with a 25 year GOLDSHIELD guarantee.
  • High melt point and low temperature flexibility ensures stability in all ambient temperatures.
  • Stabilised polyester reinforcement in the base layer ensures stability with no shrinkage, high tensile strength and excellent point loading characteristics.

Roof deck


  • Profiled metal decking in either galvanised steel to BS EN 10147:2000 or aluminium to BS EN 484-2:1995.
  • The deck should be fixed to the structure in accordance with BS 6399-2 and the manufacturer's instructions.

Insulation


  • Suitable for laying over a range of thermal insulation options including HYTHERM PIR and HYTHERM high density EPS flat and tapered boards.

Surface options


  • TOPAZ is a self protected membrane available in a choice of six colours. Aluminium (ARMALU), copper (PAXALPHA PB COPPER) and stainless steel (PAXINOX) coverings are also available.

Installation


  • Loose laid or adhered vapour control layer.
  • Thermal insulation attachment mechanically fastened.
  • Mechanically fastened base layer with torch applied cap sheet.
  • Installed by accredited Axtershield Installers.
