INTRODUCTION
WILOTEKT®-PLUS is a unique, second generation structural waterproofing hot melt system that has been successfully used on the mainland of Europe for many years. Manufactured by COLAS, WILOTEKT-PLUS comprises a tough, flexible, self-healing reinforced rubberised compound for use over concrete in protected membrane (inverted) constructions for roofing, podium decks, car parks, roof gardens, civil engineering, etc.

WILOTEKT-PLUS has been awarded the first European Technical Approval conforming to ETAG 3 Liquid Applied Roof Waterproofing Kits, Part 5 'Kits based upon hot applied polymer modified bitumen' - number ETA-03/0049 and achieves the highest permissible durability rating under the ETAG of 25 years.

DESCRIPTION
There are four elements to the WILOTEKT-PLUS system:
  • 4 mm thick polyester reinforced protection membrane
  • Rubberised compound
  • Woven glass-fibre reinforcing mesh
  • Surface conditioning primer
BENEFITS
Fully bonded application - Applied in a liquid coating the WILOTEKT rubberised compound bonds perfectly to the deck in one seamless monolithic application. There is no possibility of lap failure or of tracking beneath the membrane.

Self-healing - Whilst clean, dry and warm WILOTEKT rubberised compound will heal itself against minor damage

Elimination of screeds - WILOTEKT-PLUS can be laid on all slopes up to 5% (2.25°) meaning that considerable cost savings can be achieved by the elimination of costly screeds. WILOTEKT-PLUS is unaffected by standing water.

Installation - Apart from rolling out the mesh reinforcement the works proceeds in one easy application thus reducing application times when compared with multi-layer systems.

Phased construction/night joints - Previously laid material will soften sufficiently to form a complete monolithic bond when lapped with new material.

Crack resistance - The 4mm thick polymeric membrane used as the protection membrane means that there is no requirement to install additional material to bridge minor cracks and day joints.
